Alsergarten is a community garden located in Vienna’s 9th district, developed through a grassroots initiative that began in early 2020. The project was launched by a self-organized group of young residents with the vision of transforming an unused urban plot into a vibrant, inclusive, and ecologically rich public space. It serves as both a green retreat and a social meeting point — a place where people can engage with plants, share knowledge, and cultivate community life in the heart of the city.
Role: Involvement in initial project conception of the space planning as well as self-organizational processes, administrative tasks, building raised beds & seating deck, organization of events and cooperations
